The regulatory framework governing professional Climaxthletics, now long enough to prove the sport has made irreversible administrative choices.
Gasm Score: 0.00–10.00 for one performance. Gasm Index: 0–100 rolling world-rating metric. Recognized lineage: 2019–present. IBGF era: 2026–present.
All Climaxthletes must be 18 years of age or older and hold a current IBGF license. There is no junior circuit. Licensing requires identity verification, medical clearance, informed consent and annual rules certification.
Sanctioned Battles may use heats, head-to-head rounds, timed attempts, elimination ladders or discipline-specific formats. The Gasm Gauntlet operates under a separate ten-stage technical manual that the IBGF publishes only to licensed officials and people who enjoy binders.
Every qualifying performance receives a Gasm Score from 0.00–10.00. The standard model weights Intensity 30%, Duration 20%, Difficulty 20%, Execution 15% and Showmanship 15%. Discipline-specific coefficients may alter how component evidence is interpreted, but not the 10-point scale itself.
The Gasm Index is not a performance score. It is a 0–100 rolling competitive rating used for world rankings. The model considers recent Gasm Scores, placement, opponent strength, consistency, discipline coefficient and championship weighting across the trailing twelve months.
Recognized competition begins with the 2019 season. Performances from 2019–2023 may be displayed as Legacy-Equivalent values when the archived sensor package does not support a complete modern component reconstruction. Championships remain fully recognized.
All sanctioned venues must use IBGF-certified Gasmograph units calibrated before competition. Official telemetry includes Build, Threshold, Climax, Peak G, Aftershock and Recovery phases. Peak G is a telemetry statistic and is not interchangeable with either the Gasm Score or Gasm Index.
All sensors, apparel, platforms, environmental systems and permitted competition aids must pass technical inspection. Undisclosed or unauthorized mechanical assistance is prohibited.
Extreme events operate inside published limits for temperature, altitude, motion, acceleration and other environmental conditions. Event physicians retain unconditional stoppage authority.
Minimum and maximum recovery windows are discipline-specific. A Climaxthlete may use the entire allotted recovery period without scoring penalty. In Endurance and Multiples formats, recovery may affect tactical positioning.
Silent Gasm rounds impose a calibrated decibel ceiling. Audible output above the threshold results in graduated deductions. Spectators are also expected to remain silent during active attempts, a rule they treat with surprising civic pride.
Facial-composure events compare live expression against a certified neutral baseline. Deviations beyond tolerance create technical deductions while physiological intensity remains fully scoreable.
Pairs are scored in part on the timing differential between qualifying climaxes. Elite synchronization is measured in milliseconds.
Banned assistance includes unauthorized stimulation devices, concealed mechanical systems, prohibited sensitizing compounds, sensor manipulation, falsified telemetry and undisclosed performance-enhancing aids.
All licensed Climaxthletes are subject to World Climaxthletic Anti-Doping Authority testing, equipment inspection and integrity review.
Participation must remain voluntary throughout every sanctioned Battle. A Climaxthlete may withdraw before or during an attempt. Consent violations, coercion or interference trigger immediate stoppage and disciplinary review independent of scoring.
Scoring and telemetry disputes may be appealed to the IBGF Technical Review Panel within 24 hours. Video, biometric and equipment evidence may be considered.
Medical staff may stop any Battle at any time. A stoppage cannot be overruled by a judge, coach, broadcaster, sponsor or Climaxthlete.
Interference, intimidation during an active attempt, coercion, consent violations, equipment tampering or deliberate disruption may result in immediate disqualification and license review.
World records require verified Gasmograph telemetry, certified equipment, medical clearance and IBGF ratification. Legacy-Era records must be labeled with the measurement standard under which they were achieved.
World Finals qualification is based on season-specific Championship Points earned at the five Majors. Championship Points reset each tour year and are separate from the rolling Gasm Index. Every finalist must complete event-specific medical and safety clearance before competing for the Golden Grin.
